CHERRYFIELD & BAR HARBOR NEWS:

We would like to welcome Nathan C. Mason IV to our karate family.  He is the son of Sensei & Sempai Mason and was born on November 6th.  The next arrival will be Sensei & Sempai Wilbur's baby in February 2002!

There will be a Christmas Party for Bar Harbor Youth & their parents. This will be held on December 19 (Wednesday) at 6:00 p.m.  Please bring a dish, appetizer or drink (non-alcoholic).  There will be a brief workout followed by a potluck dinner.  This will also be the last class prior to Christmas break and classes will resume on January 7th (Monday).

There will also be a Christmas Party for Eastern Maine Adult Students at the Cherryfield Dojo.  This will be held on December 20 (Thursday) at 6:00 p.m.  Please bring a dish, appetizer or drink (non-alcoholic).  Also bring a wrapped gift, no more than $5.00, (for each person who wants to participate in the Chinese Auction).  There will be a brief workout followed by a potluck dinner.  This will be the last class prior to Christmas break and classes will resume on January 10th. 

HERMON NEWS

The Orrington Women Self-Defense sessions were greatly appreciated by the town.  The women showed great enthusiasm and we appreciated the support of the karate students' mothers who came as well.

The Holiday break for the Hermon Dojo will be from December 24 and will resume on January 3, 2002 (Thursday).  

Latest promotions from Hermon inculde: Joe Isgro (8 Kyu), Tyler & Matt Chamberlain (9 Kyu Jr.) and Jacob Roy (11 Kyu Jr.).  Congratulations!

Eastern Maine Karate All Dojo Workout   w/ Sensei Wilbur!

When:  December 8th (Saturday)

Time:  1:00 - 4:00 p.m. 

    (please arrive at 12:30 and be ready by 12:45)

Where:  Bar Harbor YMCA (Park Street)

For: Youth and Adults from all Eastern Maine Schools

-Don't miss this special workout with Sensei Wilbur, 5th Dan, and OSMSKKF Maine Representative.  The adult class will entail gun and knife defense drills as well as other material.  Not only will you be able to work out with Sensei Wilbur, you will also be able to meet your karate family from all over Eastern Maine.

QUARTERLY BLACK BELT MEETING & WORKOUT

When: December 7th (Friday)

Time:  6:00 p.m.

Where: Red Barn Restaurant

For:  All Black Belts

Dinner will be first and training to follow at the Cherryfield Dojo.  Instructor meeting to follow training.
