1974 with Sensei Jeff Morse in Cherryfield, Maine.
Received his 7 Kyu
Certification from Sensei Jeff Morse, Sandan, signed by Master Hohan Soken on June 2,
1975.
Began teaching at the
University of Maine at Machias, Spring Semester 1983.
Received the rank of Shodan
on December 17, 1984.
Opened his first dojo in
Jonesport, Maine in February 1985 with Dean McGray.
